Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on the Profitability of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2021-2023. GCG is projected by the Board of Directors (X1), Independent Commissioners (X2), Audit Committee (X3), Managerial Ownership (X4) and Profitability is measured using ROA (Y). The sample in this study was 30 banking companies listed on the IDX for the period 2021-2023 and reported their annual reports in full. The sample was carried out using the purposive sampling method. The type of research used in this study is quantitative. The statistical method used in this study uses Multiple Linear Analysis. The results of this study indicate that the board of directors has a significant negative effect on profitability, while independent commissioners and managerial ownership have a significant positive effect on profitability. The audit committee has a significant negative effect.
